I am constantly expanding my knowledge and experience through continuous education and hands on practice during our team meetings.

Troy has always had love for sports. Unfortunately an injury in his 20s got him “out of the game”. The following 3 years were “dark”. Troy was out of shape, broke and did not have any motivation to do anything. He knew something needed to change, but didn’t know what and how. It was 3 AM while he was working his newspaper route that it hit him – he had to get back to sports. Troy started training again and lost 70lbs in 5 months. It was at that time when he began his professional fitness career at a commercial gym. He got certified as a trainer. Over the course of the next 5 years he climbed the latter and became a lead senior trainer. Even though he had success, he felt that something was missing. At the beginning of 2019 he started to look for better opportunities, then he found us and the rest is history. In his own words:
“I joined ELIN Personal Training Redefined® for one simple reason – I wanted to change lives! The very moment I spoke to Elin I knew that this is where I belonged– surrounded by a group of like-minded people, a real family. All of us united and driven by the same cause – to inspire and empower others. I know what training did for me and I wanted to share it with the world. Now I know that I will.”
I have been passionate about fitness for years and I have been training groups and individuals since 2011. Over the years I have helped hundreds of clients meet a large variety of different goals ranging from improving athletic performance to living and moving without pain. My goal has always been to help my clients become the best versions of themselves and to redefine what they are capable of achieving. Joining the team at Elin allows me to continue to help people reach their goals.

Michaela first fell in love with fitness in high school when she was introduced to CrossFit. Having been a competitive swimmer in childhood, Michaela was unfamiliar with weightlifting – or the gym in general. But after only a few classes, she was hooked. These days, Michaela takes a different approach to fitness; incorporating lifting while focusing on a well-rounded workout routine overall.
In college, Michaela studied general nutrition, sports nutrition, and trained one-on-one. She’s particularly inspired by young women in fitness and enjoys teaching classes for the supportive and inclusive environments they create. Michaela believes in finding a form of exercise that challenges, motivates, and engages her clients while maintaining that every session should be fun for everyone involved.
It’s those very same principles that made her want to be a part of the ELIN4STM team, where everyone values a holistic approach to health and their clients!

Marie is a certified personal trainer through NASM. Marie began her fitness journey as a youth playing soccer, basketball and tennis. She went on to play Division III college tennis at St. Mary’s College of Maryland where she was team captain and helped with team fitness. This sparked her passion for helping others lead a healthier lifestyle and achieve their fitness goals.
Over the years Marie has become passionate about working out, lifting weights, and educating herself on better workouts and nutrition methods. She realized that in a world with so much information online she could help make a difference in the lives of her clients by training them and properly educating them
Leo is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through NSCA and has worked with a variety of fitness populations (athletes, general and special populations). He has been able to help his clientele reach their fitness goals safely, using his whole-body approach to fitness where nutrition and lifestyle are equally important to training.
Since age 7, when Leo first engaged in competitively organized sports, training became an important part of his life. As he aged and moved up through the ranks of the local soccer academy, he continued to gain experience, first-hand, realizing the importance of proper training and its direct correlation between training in the weight room and performance on the field. Unquestionably, he was fascinated with human mechanics and physiology, which is why he decided to study the science of human movement.
Leo became part of ELIN’s team not only due to the desire to impact as many people as possible through connecting, training, educating and sharing but also by having common core values and beliefs.
My name is Ashley and I have been in the fitness industry since 2014. I started out as a manager of a VA based yoga / fitness studio after which point I expanded into teaching yoga and coaching CrossFit. A few years later in 2016 I became certified as a personal trainer through NASM and began training individuals one-on-one in addition to the group format. In 2018 I expanded once again to include Group Ex style classes. Since then, I have dedicated myself to improving the lives of others through fitness. Regardless of the format, I find purpose through helping others better themselves and their lives through effective training.
I come from a background in competitive team sports, having played a variety of sports growing up and then later having played both Division I collegiate and professional soccer. About the same time I transitioned into the fitness industry I began competing in fitness, including road races, Tough Mudders, Spartan Races, CrossFit Competitions, and GRID Contests.
I hold the following certifications:
